Luxe Walls completed specialty paint finished on the ceiling, walls and trim in this dining room
Allow me to tell you the story of this dining room make-over: Once upon a time there was a homeowner who had painted the walls of her dining room a really nice metallic gold. And it looked like this:

These metallic walls served as a great basecoat. But the homeowner thought it needed something more.... but what? She went to browse one of our favorite sources for design inspiration Houzz. (SIDE-NOTE: If you don't know Houzz, you should! It is a photographic design gallery and so much more.) Lucky for Luxe Walls, the homeowner saw a picture of a ceiling that grabbed her attention. She clicked on it to see who did this ceiling and was excited to learn that it was done by a company (that's us!) just a minutes from her house!
We met with the homeowner and a design plan was put into place. She knew she was looking for an all-over stencil to create the esthetic of wallpaper, but without all the frustration, should the design change in years to come. We suggested online store, Cutting Edge Stencils, as a possible source for her stencil. The homeowner selected the "Verde" stencil, and we loved it too!
The weekend before Carl was to start, he ran into the family at the local disc golf course, so of course he threw in some free disc golf lessons. (An offer I'm sure he'd be glad to extend to anyone willing to take him up on it, btw)

Finally, work was underway! We started with some simple wall repairs and priming all the trim, crown molding and wainscoting a dark color, remember it was white. Next, attention was turned toward the ceiling, which received several applications of glaze.

And then in just a matter of 4 days (okay 4 days and 15 minutes, if we are really honest) the dining no longer looked anything like what it started as. Check this out! Kudos to our homeowner for making smart design choices and thanks for allowing Luxe Walls to be apart of your new home design. We really enjoyed this project and think the results speak for themselves :)
