Luxe Walls LLC is 100% owner-operated by husband/wife team Carl and Beth Pledger.   We are located in Chester County, PA, between Philadelphia and Lancaster.  We are glad to travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic for all painting projects that demand the quality and passion of a WALL NUT.

More about Carl Pledger:  He is an artist, jovial, extremely dependable, and all-around good guy.   He is THE WALL NUT!  

He grew up in the Philadelphia area and has always been an artist. After high school, joined the Marine Corps.  He had the proud distinction of serving in the Presidential Helicopter Squad.  Traveling with President Clinton, Carl was part of the ceremonial service you often see on television and of the logistical planning team that made Presidential travel around the world possible. Following his commitment to the Marines, he sought to highlight his artistic talents.

He started as an apprentice and worked his way up the industry, learning the fundamentals of painting. Working on historical restoration projects was a bright light in his early career and allowed him the opportunity for more challenging work.  As customers began requesting faux finishing, Carl—the artist at heart—quickly found his “home” within the painting world.

He decided to take the business leap in the year 2002 and went into business for himself.  With a strong painting background, he wanted to know more about the high-end plasters and other specialized faux finishing products.  He has received certifications from numerous product lines, including Safra Italian Plasters, Texston Plasters, American Clay Earth Plasters, and Armourcoat Architectural Coatings.  He is also a trained applicator of Faux Effects finishing products and continues his education with a great thirst for product knowledge, and spends many studio hours creating his own signature finishes.

Carl now specializes in authentic Lime Plasters, historical plaster repair, and other demanding decorative painting projects. He reads technical data sheets as a matter of enjoyment and is a constant student of the always-changing industry.

Outside of work, you’ll find Carl on the disc-golf course or train spotting with his family.
