When we first came to the basement in this Downingtown, PA home, it was mostly an empty, clean, white space. A space where only good ideas were being imagine by the homeowners. They walked me through the vision and as the project unfolded exactly to plan. We want to give a shout out to these homeowners for managing a rather sizable make-over, with expert care and mindfulness. Acting as your own general contractor and decorators are not easy tasks and the husband / wife team managed both as if it was there true calling. (Although I get the feeling they rather like their "real" careers too!)
Please enjoy this expansive basement which features a finely crafted custom bar, original art, relaxing, inviting decor, a wine cellar, pool table and even Ms. Pacman somehow fits in just right.
The main wall finish is this textured and glazed technique which serves to add warm and ambiance to the basement.
In just a few accent areas we added faux stone to mimic break away plaster.
It is always nice to have the pleasure to work with such lovely people and these home owners, indeed, were no exception!
